1. What comes with The Black Pearl, The Interceptor, The Empress and The Flying Dutchman?

2. What time can I collect?
Collection of your vehicle is between 2pm and 5 pm. Early collection may be arranged subject to availability. Same Day Early Collection - charge £50.00
3. What time do I need to return?
Return of the vehicle is between 9am and 11am. Late return may be arranged subject to availability. Same Day Late Return charge £50.00.
4. Are pets allowed?
We allow dogs in The Black Pearl ONLY, subject to approval. There is a £50 extra cleaning charge.
5. Can I smoke in your campervans?
Sorry STRICTLY NO SMOKING.
6. How old do I need to be to hire from Cotswold Camper?
Hirers should be between the ages of 30 – 75 and have held a Full Licence for a minimum of 2 years.
7. How do I book?
Go to our BOOK page.
Check availability by clicking on More Info on your chosen van. If you required dates are available click Book Now to enter your details and complete checkout. No money is taken at this point. You will then receive a Reservation Number.
We will then complete a FULL DVLA Licence Check and request 2 forms of proof of address before confirming your booking and requesting deposit.
8. Is there a charge for an Additional Driver?
The cost of hire includes one driver. Additional drivers cost an extra £10 per day to cover the extra insurance premium.
Full name, address, contact details, National Insurance number and Driving Licence number must be supplied under separate cover.
9. What is the minimum hire period?
3 nights.
10. How do I pay?
Online bank transfer or major debit/credit card. We do NOT accept cash or cheques for the hire
or the security deposit. There is an additional £35.00 charge should you decide to pay your hire charge by card to cover the card providers costs.
Your £1000 (or £1500 excess if going to a festival) can be paid either by bank transfer or debit/credit card and does not have the above additional charge.
11. How old are your campers?
Less than 2 years old.
12. Are your campervans manual or automatic?
All our campervans are automatic.
13. If I arrive by train into Moreton-in-Marsh or Stratford on Avon could you
arrange a taxi to Cotswold Camper?
Yes we can give you local taxi company numbers who we use regularly.
14. What happens if I breakdown?
All our vans are covered by VW Roadside Assistance. Telephone number to contact them will be supplied.
15. What do I need to bring with me on the day of collection for the hire?
Driving Licence
2 x Additional Forms of ID:
1 x Utility Bill (Electric, gas, water, broadband, council tax or landline)
1 x Bank/Credit Card Statement
* Both of the above must be in the driver's name, dated within the last 90 days and the address must match the driving license.
16. What do you suggest I pack?

Sleeping bags/duvets, double sheets, pillows.

Appropriate clothing for the weather.

Basic food items to include: coffee, tea, sugar, milk etc.

Washing up liquid.

Bin liners.
17. Can we travel abroad?
Currently due to travel restrictions our insurance does not permit overseas travel.
18. What is the size of your campervans?

19. How many can you sleep in a VW California Ocean?
4 in total.
2 on the ground floor bed
2 in the elevated roof bed (weight restriction of 25 stone (159 Kg) in total)
20. Can I go to a Camping & Caravanning Club site?
Yes we have Privilege Membership with The Camping & Caravanning Club so hiring a campervan with us gives you membership discount on the site fee. Ask on booking with us and we will advise how it works.
